About read::zebra

This began with a red zebra on a t-shirt. It is now a blog of culture, curated by Timothy S. Aames, a writer and editor living in Chicago.

What to expect: criticism, conversations, excerpts, flash fiction, Chicago-centric news, and constant questions.

A little about Timothy: He grew up on a micro-nature reserve in Kansas, studied journalism at Kansas State University, and has  published poetry in Cram, essays in the Logan Square Literary Review, and music criticism in a book called Chromatic, which will be released August 2. In addition, he is a regular contributor to Alarm and the editor of a green building and design magazine.

A little more: He has an amazing wife, a fantastic brother, and a truly invaluable community of friends and family who continually inspire him.
