Thanks to NPR’s Bob Boilen for exposing me as a shoddy music reporter: Despite my mention of it, before this video I had no idea how a Tesla coil could be used as an instrument.

    I played with a Reactable two weekends ago at the Museum of Science and Industry. It takes a while to understand how what each block does and how it affects other blocks, but it’s pretty awesome. They had a tesla coil there, too. (Sadly, it was not hooked up to the Reactable.)
